How does this boat float? How come it doesn't sink to the bottom? The reason why it doesn't sink is because buoyant force is pushing it up. Also it displaces the water so it can float. The sides of the boat are also high enough so the water can't go in and the water pushes it to the bottom.This is why boats float. Also there are two forces pushing on the boat on of them is buoyant force the other force is pushing down on the boat and its called gravity.
